3 Tips To Help You Stay Focused And On Track

Do you find yourself all over the place in your businesses? Example, are you a real estate investor, selling Noni Juice on the side, part time Mary Kay rep and 5 linx rep? Don’t get me wrong in these days and times you have to do what you gotta do to get the bills paid and keep food on the table but you have to be smart about it or you will burn out!

There are so many opportunities you can find online alone to make money that it can have your head spinning. One day its selling jewelry, the next its Amway then its electricity and everyone you talk to about your business opportunities is like “You are all over the place, have you made any money yet?”

Here are a few tips to help you get on track and stay focused:

1. Learn more about your business (service), make money doing it before you start another business opportunity.

2. Find one or two mentors in your field you respect and follow them. Implement what they teach.

3. If you want to create another stream of income choose an opportunity that compliment’s your main business. (Example: I am a real estate investor and an internet/affiliate marketer. I’m able to sell products and services online that cater to other real estate investors or professionals and get more buyers). It wouldn’t make sense for me to sell Noni Juice because I don’t have an existing client base for that kind of product. My real estate contacts are not interested in Noni Juice they are interested in products and services about real estate, real estate investing and making more money buying and selling houses.

It may seem very simple but I talk to people often that are all over the place when I ask how’s business. They are becoming more and more frustrated because they have several opportunities going at one time and not making any progress or money.

  1. Lo these tips were right on the money. They have helped me effectively balance my real estate investing business and Internet marketing business as well.

Hi Lo, these are definitely great tips! I have two very different businesses (enriched coffee and real estate) and they are both growing steadily, but fortunately 80% of Americans drink coffee :-) LOL!

Generally speaking, I think that there are so many ways to create related income streams with one business. For example, my friend is a photographer, but not only can she take pictures, but we’ve talked about several ways she can generate additional income doing related things….she can host workshops for other photographers as well as amateurs who want to get started. She can sell related products with photos on them, etc.

I’m new to the blog here (thanks to Bill Lassiter) but already like what I’m reading :-)
