Some of the best leads you can get as a real estate investor is for sale by owner leads. Many investors don’t and won’t mail or knock on the doors of these sellers but they are one if not the most motivated sellers you will find.

Think about it, most for sale by owners have had their homes listed with a realtor or skip the realtor and is selling on their own. Most home owners that have listed there property’s seen the expiration date come and go and are motivated to dump their homes.

A few things to remember while you are driving or searching the newspaper classified ads section:

1. Write down the addresses and numbers of FSBO signs you pass by.

2. Contact each lead asap, find out when they need to sell and why.

3. Make it a point to check the classifieds once or twice a week for FSBO leads and contact them immediately.
